Cloud Collective is a digital space where anyone is free to share and curate their own personal favorites, located all in one convenient, fun platform. As a user, there are zero limits as to what you can share! From dream vacation destinations on a wishlist, to a current favorite coffee order and current must-read, the possibilities are endless. This website was mainly inspired by the "current favorites" section I found on the "about me" page of multiple portfolio websites. As someone who wholeheartedly believes that your interests and likes influence your approach to creativity, I decided to take the idea further by expanding it into a full-scale website that allows people to easily upload and customize their own personal, curated collection. Through this website, I hope to create a fun, minimalistic space for people to share their favorites and express themselves in a visually captivating way.
Hi there! My name is Elise Hart, and I am currently in my fourth and final year here at the University of Texas at Dallas. I am majoring in Arts and Technology with a focus on User Experience Design and Research, and currently work for the UT Design Capstone program here on campus as a Designer and Corporate Relations Assistant. On a different note, this website is for a final semester project. Since most of my experience has been solely with designing in Figma, expanding my front-end skills through this class has been a welcome challenge! I was dissatisfied with many of my former assignments and found them extremely lacking in the styling department, so I did extensive research about more advanced CSS styling and enlisted the opinion and assistance of other designers with front-end experience to ensure this final lived up to my own expectations. I wanted this project to not only accomplish its stated purpose, but also to reflect my own personal style as a designer (which I am still figuring out!). I definitely want to expand more upon this in the future by implementing more through the back-end side of things, but for now, I will stay within the confines of my skillset. I hope you enjoy and please stay tuned for updates!
